Tom Davies

Tom Davies is a prestigious eyewear brand without parallel, built on the principles of fit, form and function.

It was created in London in 2002, and soon established as one of Britain’s leading bespoke spectacle brands. Tom’s prestigious handmade eyewear brand offers a full bespoke service using the highest quality materials.

As a graduate of Art and Design at the University of East Anglia, Davies majored in film history. This broad artistic education helped shape Davies’ career in product design and branding.

A global network of exclusive opticians, including The Richard Tildesley Practice Chichester stocks a range of ready-to-wear frames as well as providing custom made-to-order frames. The Tom Davies bespoke service is truly unique and reflects the brand’s individualised approach to eyewear.

Tom Davies frames aim to enhance the wearer’s feature rather than obscure them. Frames are crafted using the highest quality materials, chosen to be light-weight, gentle on the skin and allergy safe, principally pure titanium and cotton acetate. Tom Davies produces all its own frames by hand so every step of the process is meticulously controlled. Tom’s mission is to offer customers properly fitted frames of exceptional comfort, and elegance.

All bespoke frames can be finished with the wearer’s name engraved discreetly on the inside of the temple arm. This couture approach has attracted clients from Hollywood and royalty and customers include Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent glasses for his latest role in Superman.

They are at the higher price range, but once you try them on it is easy to see and feel why! Styles range of discreet and subtle titanium frames in a rainbow of colours, to bold, chunky acetate, and everything in between! They can also be made bespoke to your own personal choice of colour, finish and fitting.

Known for their retro and classical elements in frames, the brand has continued to produce high quality hand-made frames that cater to all audiences. Anglo American Optical uses cotton-based hypo-allergenic cellulose acetate for its frames rather than petroleum-based plastic to prevent both skin irritation and the tendency to crack easily. Different alloys such as nickel, stainless steel, titanium, and copper are used to keep weight down and comfort up.

Henry Beaumont does not supply any products to the national chains of optical retailers. Beautiful exclusive ranges of glasses available at the Richard Tildesley Practice include Bauhaus, Moda, Prestige and Couture.

Cazal

When passion for a product is reflected in the design, there is no-one like Cari Zalloni, whose eyewear designs became a cult in the 80s. He was a visionary who revolutionised eyewear design and created trends that were way ahead of their time, second to none. He crafted an extraordinary style that polarised opinions and has cast a spell over his fans to this day.

CAZAL defined the typical hip-hop look of the 80s like no other brand. Some of the legendary designs from that era are still trendsetting even now. Eyewear lovingly nicknamed “Cazzy” by its fans.

The creative genius of the charismatic designer Cari Zalloni carries on, even after his sudden death in 2012. Inspired by him, his design team will continue to create a collection that sets standards and immortalises his spirit.

Silhouette

What began in 1964 as a vision of glasses as a decorative device, is today the world’s leading brand of light and high quality glasses – Silhouette.

This is the brand of the world’s lightest glasses, made with great attention to detail, a large proportion of work by hand, an individual design approach and the use of the best materials and the latest technology. Made in Austria, they are exported to 100 countries worldwide. In 1999 Silhouette revolutionized the eyeglass world with its Titan Minimal Art glasses weighing only 1.8 grams, without screws, hinges or rims.
