Autumn 1923, Rue Vignon, Paris, Louis Lafont sets up a small boutique selling glasses and hearing aids.. For three generations Louis’ art deco sprit has set the standard when it comes to designing eyewear. Philippe, Louis’ grandson and his Parisian fashion designer wife Laurence transformed spectacles into a genuine fashion accessory.

Now, the next generation of the Lafont family, Thomas and Mathieu are taking the brand to the next level. Thomas, the Creative Director for Lafont says that a great pair of glasses must have style and comfort. A pair of glasses is not just an accessory, it provides the first hint of an individual’s personality . The wearer must enjoy a frame and feel it is completely consistent with his or her look and mindset. It must be an extension of the individual.

Lafont eyewear collections all have one thing in common: a subtly rebellious, discreetly avant-garde touch of refinement. Over 200 colour combinations and a selection of unique miz-and-match materials such as tartan and Liberty prints sandwiched between two layers of acetate, panther designs and tortoise shell. Each frame is full of surprises!
